Sewer Line Warranty Program
In the coming days Fort Wright residents will receive a letter from Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) regarding their sewer line warranty program. The City of Fort Wright decided to partner with SLWA due to their established relationship with the National League of Cities (NLC). The NLC is respected national organization that works with cities across the country to improve quality of life issues at the local level. We are a partner in this project with SLWA but the city is expending no tax dollars on the program nor are we generating any revenue from those who choose to voluntarily participate in the program. Given the age of the infrastructure within our city, your elected representatives thought that this VOLUNTARY program would provide some level of protection against potential unanticipated expenses for those who wish to participate.
Again, we want to stress this is a voluntary program and that it is each resident's decision as a homeowner to determine whether or not to participate.
If you have questions about the program please contact our City Administrator, Ed Butler at 859-331-1700 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
The press release below from the SLWA explains the program and the company in greater detail.
